Start the morning with a walk along the Oconaluftee River Trail, keeping an eye out for elk.
Grab breakfast at Peter's Pancakes in Cherokee.
Take a scenic drive back through the mountains before relaxing at the cabin.
Spend the afternoon soaking in the hot tub while the dogs nap after their big adventure.
Because sometimes the best vacation memories aren't made rushing from attraction to attraction.
Sometimes they're made watching your best friend happily sniff every tree while you slow down and enjoy the beauty around you.
